Hi everybody! At our most recent workshop on Saturday the 12th, we had a wide variety of ability levels. Although we experienced some technical difficulties, it was still a fun experience and students learned and benefited from the event. To get everyone to know each other, we started with a game in the beginning. After each individual performed their piece or excerpt, they received feedback both from myself and other students. Following the performances, we did a few exercises as a group. These included vibrato exercises, and bowing exercises so as not to hit another string while crossing strings. This will ensure a cleaner sound while playing. One of the Bow Buddies student's moms surprised us so much with a little package of home-baked Taiwanese style pastries dropped off on our porch after the lesson. String families are so kind! I'm looking forward to growing our group, the next workshop is September 27th.
