Hi everyone!
At last Saturday's workshop, we had the pleasure of meeting a new member! After getting to know each other and breaking the ice, we had our participants play their pieces, as usual and receive feedback from myself and the other students. Our new participant watched and was able to get a feel for what the workshops are usually like! If anyone would like to join, even if it is just to watch, you are more than welcome! Just fill out the form on the "workshops" part of the website.
In addition to our meeting on Saturday, I was pleased to teach an individual lesson with our new participant on Sunday! We went over violin basics, such as posture, the anatomy of a violin, tuning, how to hold the violin, and bow hold. We also went over the basics of treble clef, and talked about rhythms and how to count whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eight notes. If anyone is interested starting individual lessons (free of charge) please contact me via the "contact me" form on the website.
