Workshop #3 Recap

At our latest workshop, some of the pieces we heard included Concerto No. 2 in G major, Op. 13, 3rd Movement, concerto in A minor, Op. 3, No. 6, 1st Movement, and Concerto in A minor BWV 1041 by J.S. Bach. Besides giving feedback to each other, we talked about areas of growth for each individual. I gave my suggestions for what each could do to polish their piece. After, we practiced some exercise as a group that we all could benefit from. Some of the exercises we practiced included vibrato exercises such as learning to rock the finger back and forth from a curved to a straight position in order to increase flexibility. We also talked about right hand finger motions to move the bow. One of the exercises we talked about has been covered in an earlier blog post. We have a couple of workshops coming up in September. I'm looking forward to new members joining us and trying out Bow Buddies!

All string musicians are welcome of any level: violin, viola, cello, and bass!
