Bow Buddies Update: Audition Prep Workshop

Hi Everyone,

On Friday, July 30th, Bow Buddies hosted an Audition Prep Workshop. Participants have been working all summer in individual lessons with me. Some have met in the park, and some have been meeting through Zoom. My most recent participants joined all the way from Washington D.C., with Bow Buddies now reaching across different time zones! Since many students had never met before, we started with some icebreakers in the Zoom breakout rooms. Following introductions, a short presentation on audition tips and preparation strategies allowed the students to prepare for their upcoming school auditions. The majority of the Bow Buddies students will be auditioning for their school orchestras and seating placements. For many of the students, this will be their first times experiencing an audition. Students played a piece that they had been preparing this summer, and the group offered individual comments and constructive feedback. At the end of the session, the students suggested meeting every 1-2 months. We hope to see you at the next workshop, more details will be released soon.
